playstation may not sell the units but it still the better machine. sony releis on the success of this product and the blu ray system. proprietary media has never been a sucess for them in the past but maybe now they\'ll win this small battle against other HD-DVD media.

umm... if they can actually build enough of those blue lasers for the blu-ray drives for the PS3s so some more people could actually buy it, maybe. BUT the XBOX360 had a huge headstart. But then again, so did the dreamcast, and Sony annihilated them.
I agree though that the PS3 is a better machine... I really don't see any developer using all 8 cores to their full potential anytime soon, though...

I prefer to smoke crack. Vidoe games are to time consuming and trivial. Crack is a much better alternative. Nothing like the fresh taste of some lovely crack early in the morn with my coffee while I'm dropping the lil ones off at school. Fuck video games. Ah yes, love that crack.

I've heard that most of the ps3 games so far are worse graphic wise than the 360 probibly cause it's so hard to code a game on the ps3, sony will probibly lose to microsoft this round

this is weird, cuz im a complete playstation fanboy and have a ps2, psp, and ps3 but im gonna argue the xbox side just to come back to Gavner.

the xbox live system may cost money but the interconnectivity between friends is much more user-friendly and streamline. The fact that i can make a friend on any game and then be their friend on the whole system and any other games is much easier than having to enter them into every game and the playstation network.

the internet option on playstation was a beautiful sight when i first got ps3, and i was like "hey! i can just boot linux on the ps3 and use the internet and i can use the ps3 instead of a computer!" yeah right. the internet on the ps3 is nice to be included, but ultimately a hassle and a gimmick. you can use it to dowload pics straight to the ps3, but using a computer and a flash drive is faster anyways.

also, blu-ray has twice the MEMORY as hd-dvd, but half the read speed, they are practically the same and regardless of which one wins, they will both function exactly the same.

when rumble comes out for ps3 it will just make ps3 and xbox equal, thats it (and the controller argument is stupid, they are both the same controller, get used to it.

the processors are nice to have on ps3 but... when will developers actually start to use them. The arguement that it will come in time is great, and i totally stand by that they will come out ahead in the end like xbox did to playstation 2 (in appearance of games) but right now xbox is clearly in the lead with its exclusive games like gears of war and forza. plus you have too human, mass effect, and HALO 3 coming out in the next months. Maybe warhawk and lair can try to hold them off but... come on. an rpg from the makers of KOTOR and freaking halo totally destroys the ps3 lineup. And to be honest, heavenly sword wasnt very fun on the demo.

Anyways, I do have my ps3 and like it to the extent that Resistance was awesome to play story mode (online is just above so/so) motorstorm was awesome to play story mode (online is just above so/so) and oblivion is awesome, but 360 has it too. Same with the darkness and virtua fighter is going to be. No guitar hero yet on ps3 either.

I'm buying a 360 for halo 3 anyways, and keeping the ps3 in hopes that Haze will be amazing.
